WELCOME TO THE HOTEL DE L'ANGLAIS

A FEW STEPS FROM BOTH THE HISTORICAL CENTRE OF ARLES AND THE LUMA FOUNDATION STANDS HOTEL DE L’ANGLAIS, DESIGNED AT THE END OF THE 19TH CENTURY AS A BOURGEOISIE HOME, WHICH IS ATTRIBUTED TO A RENOWNED ARCHITECT OF OTHER DISTINCTIVE BUILDINGS IN THE REGION AND INSPECTOR FOR HISTORICAL MONUMENTS - AUGUSTE VERAN -, AND NOW RENOVATED AND TRANSFORMED INTO A LUXURY GUEST HOUSE.

THE ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES AND ORIGINAL SPACES HAVE BEEN HARMONIOUSLY MAINTAINED WITH MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY INTERIOR DECORATION, ENSURING YOUR STAY IS THE MOST RELAXING, CALM AND COMFORTABLE POSSIBLE.

AT GROUND FLOOR LEVEL THE BEAUTIFUL GRAND STAIRCASE, DESIGNED BY MASTER ARTIST BLACKSMITH NOEL BIRET, RISES FROM THE FIRST RECEPTION ROOM, ALL ILLUMINATED BY A MAGNIFICENT STAINED GLASS CEILING OF THE PERIOD.

A SECOND SPACE, WITH A CEILING ROSE INSPIRED FROM 17TH CENTURY ORNAMENTS, HOUSES THE BREAKFAST ROOM FEATURING A GRAND FIREPLACE AND RENAISSANCE-STYLE BOX CEILING DESIGN.

WE ALSO OFFER A PROTECTED, SOUTH-FACING TERRACE FOR THAT MOMENT OF RELAXATION, FOR A COOL DRINK OR APERITIF, OR OUR POOL, THOUGHT FOR THE HOTTER DAYS.

PRACTICAL DETAILS:

THE HOUSE HAS THREE FLOORS AND NO LIFT.  THE ROOMS ARE LOCATED ON THE GROUND, FIRST AND SECOND FLOORS.

THERE ARE 6 STEPS TO ENTER THE BUILDING AND THEREFORE, UNFORTUNATELY, OUR GUESTHOUSE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS.

BECAUSE OF ITS DESIGN, THE HOUSE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN.

THE GROUND FLOOR ROOM, WHICH INCLUDES AN EXTERNAL SPACE MEASURING 4M², IS IDEAL FOR THOSE THAT HAVE DIFFICULTY CLIMBING STAIRS.
